Canvasser / Marketing Representative

About the role

The Canvasser / Marketing Representative is responsible for generating qualified leads and setting appointments with homeowners for our home improvement services. This is a door-to-door marketing position that involves speaking directly with homeowners in local communities. No prior experience is required, we provide paid training and teach you our proven approach to engaging homeowners and setting quality appointments. This position offers hourly pay plus commission, allowing motivated individuals to increase their earnings based on performance. There is also plenty of opportunity for growth within our local, family-owned company.

What you would do

• Engage with homeowners in local neighborhoods through door-to-door outreach
• Introduce homeowners to Midwest Exteriors and our home improvement products and services
• Build rapport and create positive interactions with homeowners
• Ask questions to identify potential homeowner needs and interest
• Generate qualified leads for the sales team
• Set quality appointments for in-home consultations
• Represent Midwest Exteriors in a professional and positive manner
• Meet or exceed established lead-generation and appointment-setting goals
• Track and communicate appointment and lead information accurately
• Coordinate marketing efforts with team members and other departments
• Work collaboratively with the marketing and sales teams
• Participate in team meetings, training, and coaching sessions
• Continuously improve performance through training, coaching, and feedback

What you need

• Comfortable approaching and speaking with homeowners door-to-door

Nice to have

• Previous canvassing or door-to-door experience
• Previous sales, marketing, or customer service experience
• Experience in home improvement or a related industry
• Previous appointment-setting or lead-generation experience No prior experience is required. We provide paid training and the tools needed to help you succeed

The physical side of the job

• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to walk through residential neighborhoods for extended periods
• Ability to repeatedly approach and communicate with homeowners throughout the workday
