Before the numbers

It is usually not the money.

People rarely put a project off because they cannot picture the cost. They put it off because they cannot picture the week: who is in the house, how long the wall stays open, what happens if something goes wrong after the truck leaves, and whether anyone answers the phone in March.

So those are the questions we answer before we quote anything.

  • How long will my house be open? Openings are closed the same day they are opened. We do not leave a wall or a window bay exposed overnight.
  • Who is actually going to be here? Our own crew, and the estimator who measured has already told them what they are walking into.
  • What happens if something is wrong in March? You call the same office that sold you the job. The warranty is registered by us, and we keep the copy.
  • When will it actually be done? You get a date before the order goes in, and the date is what we work to. If it moves, you hear it from us first.

After the truck leaves

  • The warranty gets registered Not left in the folder on your counter. We file it, and we keep the copy.
  • A name, not a queue If a sash sticks two winters from now, you call the same office that sold you the job.
  • We install what we sell Our crew, not a subcontractor pool assembled the week of your date.

Watch it happen

Every job moves through the same five stages, and you can see which one you are in without calling to ask.

  1. I Measured Estimator confirms every opening and the glass package.
  2. II Ordered Product goes to the factory with your exact sizes on it.
  3. III Scheduled You get a date, not a window of weeks.
  4. IV Installed Our crew, one house at a time, cleaned up the same day.
  5. V Backed Warranty registered and a name to call if anything moves.

What homeowners ask before they book

How long does a window replacement take at my house?

Most Midwest Exteriors window jobs are a one-day install. Every opening we open is closed the same day, so the house is never left exposed overnight. Larger whole-home projects and full re-sides run longer, and the estimator tells you which one yours is before the order goes in.

When do I find out my install date?

You get a date before the order goes to the factory, not after the product arrives. If that date has to move, Midwest Exteriors tells you before it changes rather than on the morning of.

Does Midwest Exteriors use subcontractors?

No. Midwest Exteriors installs with its own crew, and the estimator who measured your openings briefs that crew before they arrive.

What does the free estimate involve?

An estimator comes to the house, measures every opening, confirms the glass package and the product line, and leaves you with a written number. There is no charge for the visit and no obligation attached to it.

Who registers the warranty?

Midwest Exteriors registers it and keeps a copy on file. If something moves two winters later, you call the same office that sold you the job rather than a manufacturer queue.
